Position Overview

The Research Scientist in Academic Support operates with a high degree of autonomy, executing a variety of sophisticated and technical tasks essential for the progression of both fundamental and applied research initiatives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage with specialized experimental platforms relevant to the designated research program.
  • Responsibilities encompass experimental design, comprehensive data analysis, and the synthesis and dissemination of research findings.
  • Expected to conduct literature reviews and leverage advanced expertise for the development of research protocols.
  • May provide assistance in the preparation of grant proposals and other funding requests as needed.
  • Undertakes additional duties as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctoral degree (PhD) in a relevant field.
  • Alternatively, a Master's degree accompanied by two years of relevant professional experience in a research or technical laboratory setting.
  • Or, a Bachelor's degree with four years of pertinent professional experience in a research or technical laboratory.
  • Laboratory experience must be directly related to the area of assignment.
  • Internship experience or prior experience before obtaining the qualifying degree is not considered valid for this position.
