This Role:
Manage and monitor projects and operations to support interdepartmental goals.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Working through coding and denial trends found by the partner teams and internal teams
  • Research projects for escalated coding/billing related concerns
  • Communicate policies, concerns, etc. between departments and coding teams
  • Review and monitor team performance and ensure workflows are being followed
  • Monitor team dashboards/reports
  • Plan, organize, and direct completion on complex projects requiring multiple resources
  • Facilitate and attend all department related meetings
  • Look into coding related issues and research further for updates on procedures and policies
  • Research into payer rules and regulations for provider related guidelines
  • Help support different teams including coding, billing, and revenue integrity, in all areas including client audits and concerns, coder audits, billing trends, etc.
  • Ensure cooperative team environment by:
    • Effectively communicating with staff about department and company initiatives
    • Adjusting procedures as necessary to create process efficiencies
    • Resolving issues among staff
    • Encouraging constructive feedback from staff and between team members
  • Uphold company mission, vision, and values
  • Proactively monitor company policies and address transgressions appropriately
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with all pertinent local, state, and federal laws and regulations relating to operations and employment
  • Comply with all State and Federal Laws regarding an effective Compliance Program inclusive of HIPAA Privacy and Security
    • Adhere to the Code of Conduct and be familiar with all compliance policies and procedures stored in LogixGarden relevant to this position
    • Ensure departmental employees follow the Code of Conduct, compliance policies and procedures
    • Administer the appropriate sanction when an employee violates a compliance policy or procedure

Required:

  • Ability to learn new and existing software
  • Ability to understand the capabilities and limitations and integrations within the entire infrastructure of the company
  • Ability to work effectively on a team Ability to make decisions or solve problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives and propose solutions
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to multitask and change direction at any given time
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Preferred:

  • Strong computer skills including prior word processing, spreadsheet, and internet software experience
  • Prior medical Billing/Coding experience preferred
  • One or more years related management experience preferred
