Role Summary:
Oversee and coordinate projects and operations to align with interdepartmental objectives.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze coding and denial patterns identified by partner and internal teams.
  • Conduct research on escalated coding and billing issues.
  • Facilitate communication of policies and concerns across departments and coding teams.
  • Evaluate team performance and ensure adherence to established workflows.
  • Review team dashboards and reports for operational insights.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the completion of complex projects requiring multiple resources.
  • Lead and participate in all department-related meetings.
  • Investigate coding issues and pursue updates on procedures and policies.
  • Research payer rules and regulations to inform provider guidelines.
  • Support various teams, including coding, billing, and revenue integrity, in areas such as client audits and billing trends.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by:
    • Communicating effectively with staff regarding departmental and company initiatives.
    • Adjusting procedures to enhance process efficiencies.
    • Resolving staff-related issues.
    • Encouraging constructive feedback among team members.
  • Uphold the company’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Proactively monitor company policies and address any violations appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to operations and employment.
  • Adhere to all State and Federal Laws regarding an effective Compliance Program, including HIPAA Privacy and Security:
    • Familiarize with the Code of Conduct and compliance policies relevant to this position.
    • Ensure departmental employees comply with the Code of Conduct and related policies.
    • Implement appropriate sanctions for compliance violations.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to learn new and existing software applications.
  • Understanding of the capabilities and limitations within the company’s infrastructure.
  • Effective teamwork and problem-solving skills using logical reasoning.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety rules and procedural manuals.
  • Competence in writing routine reports and correspondence.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and internet software.
  • Prior experience in medical billing and coding is preferred.
  • Management experience of one or more years is preferred.
