Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Initiation:
    • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, and obtain approval from stakeholders.
    • Identify and secure necessary resources, including technical personnel, equipment, and third-party vendors.
  • Project Execution and Management:
    • Lead project teams in executing project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Coordinate with technical teams to allocate resources effectively and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during project execution.
    • Conduct regular project status meetings with clients and internal stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
    • Implement project management best practices and methodologies to optimize project delivery processes.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining regular communication to address concerns, provide updates, and manage expectations.
    • Foster positive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, building trust and credibility through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
    • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery, and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
    • Proactively monitor project progress and performance metrics, and take corrective action as needed to keep projects on track.
    • Escalate significant risks or issues to senior management and stakeholders as appropriate, providing recommendations for resolution.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and change logs.
    • Generate regular reports on project progress, budget expenditures, and key performance indicators for distribution to stakeholders.
    • Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate lessons learned and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a technical project manager, preferably within a managed service provider or IT services environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Asana.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
