Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Director of Product, this role will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build, and roll-out products that deliver on the company's vision and strategy.

This role will be critical in achieving Aspyr's company vision and values by collaborating with publishing, development, and finance stakeholders to align sound business plans, product development strategies, and marketing executions for product delivery.

The ideal candidate will have experience in game development and/or product management, a strong business acumen, and an obsession with high quality video games.

Essential Functions:
  • Maintain ownership of a games' business case, development, and players' needs to deliver high quality video games
  • Consume and synthesize large amounts of information to help guide strategic decisions about products by (including but not limited to) understanding players' needs, identifying product gaps, generating new ideas that increase market share, improving customer experience, and increasing revenue
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements, prototypes, wireframes, and mockups
  • Pitch products' vision with internal stakeholders and key external partners through tactics including product demos, help articles, and internal documentation
  • Develop and foster close relationships with the development (engineering, quality assurance, and production) teams and the publishing (sales, marketing, and customer service) teams to ensure all stakeholders are consistently aligned throughout the development process
  • Drive excellent inter-team communication to keep all team members organized and unblocked in completing their tasks
  • Work closely with development teams to test and validate that milestones align with forecasted cost, time, and quality
  • Launch products in partnership with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to hit business goals, objectives, and forecasts
  • Instill confidence with company leadership regarding project status and health through open communication channels including presentations, dashboards, and status updates
  • Accountable to company leadership for delivering products aligned to business objectives
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in product management
  • 5+ years of experience in video game development
  • Ability to understand and develop business cases, budgets, P&L (profits & losses), and the financial risks for video game development and publishing
  • Demonstrated success in communicating effectively with all levels of the organization as well as key external partners
  • Organized and focused individual with strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
  • Ability to make thoughtful decisions quickly and balance what is right for the company, the product, the players, and the partners
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Solid development background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in video game development
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Compassionate and possession of high emotional intelligence
  • Always learning and looking for ways to improve oneself and the team
