About the Product Team:

Our entrepreneurial Product and Design team consists of Product Managers, UX Designers, and cross-functional partners from marketing, operations, and engineering. We are expanding our customer experience to introduce new products and business models within the Ownwell home management platform. Position Overview:

We are in search of a dynamic and experienced product leader to spearhead our product expansion initiatives. You will oversee the product team and consumer roadmap, collaborating with leadership on strategy, technical capabilities, customer insights, market analysis, competitive landscape, and regulatory considerations.

The ideal candidate will drive growth for existing products while identifying market opportunities for new offerings. A strong passion for enhancing customer experiences, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Execution:

  • Champion an innovation agenda and encourage a growth mindset across the organization.
  • Refine and enhance our product delivery process from discovery through to deployment.
  • Draft technical PRDs, manage technical backlogs, and prioritize new features against technical debt, collaborating with a full-stack engineering team to develop exceptional internal products.
  • Promote a culture of learning, experimentation, and iteration within the team.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making, leveraging existing analytics and defining new metrics for future enhancements.
  • Employ effective communication strategies to ensure alignment and transparency within product development teams and across stakeholder groups.
  • Lead product launches and manage go-to-market communications with customers and partners.

Team Leadership:

  • Guide a Product Management team focused on developing and launching user-centric, high-quality products that cater to our customers.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and business leaders to define product vision and strategy, delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Execute efficiently in a dynamic startup environment where adaptability and creativity are essential.
  • Attract and retain top talent in product management while fostering career growth for existing team members.
  • Communicate performance expectations and accountability clearly to the team.
  • Coordinate across the organization, providing visibility into team progress and celebrating successes while learning from challenges.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential Skills:

  • 8+ years of product experience, with a proven history of building and scaling complex omnichannel solutions, including 3+ years managing product managers, designers, and/or engineers.
  • 5+ years of experience in interface and user experience design, preferably in FinTech or PropTech.
  • Strong technical skills (SQL, Python, HTML/CSS) with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Solid business acumen, translating technical solutions into business results.
  • Experience in gathering customer feedback, empathizing with their needs, and prioritizing roadmaps for optimal outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to define success metrics, track progress, and hold teams accountable for delivery.
  • Experience in mobile app design and/or subscription services.
  • Familiarity with regulated industries and collaboration with legal, compliance, and customer support teams.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a strong background in product/engineering management is preferred.
