Job Description:
Employee Benefits Sales Desk Specialist provide the field based Employee Benefits Specialist team with sales support. EB Sales Desk Specialists have a comprehensive knowledge of their assigned territory, Employee Benefits products, and marketing campaigns. Responsible for driving growth in Employee Benefits products within their assigned territory, making proactive calls and communicating complex strategies to Designated Advisors and Banking partners. Articulates product positioning to Advisors and Banking partners, provides investment and cost analytics, serve as a liaison to the services/operations areas, shepherds the sales process for prospective clients and serves as a knowledgeable industry and product resource. Series 7 and 63/65 or 66 and Insurance Licensed.

The Workplace Benefits Specialist team partners with Banking Relationship Managers (Business, Commercial) to identify benefits sales opportunities and drive growth across Defined Contribution (DC), Defined Benefits (DB), Nonqualified Defined Contribution (NQDC), Equity, and Health Benefits Solutions (HBS) products in a specified geographic region. They will also be aligned to a geographic region of Workplace Benefits designated Advisors to drive business development and execution. The Workplace Benefits Sales Desk Specialist is responsible for the internal sales of the Workplace Benefits plans. The Sales Desk Specialist is primarily partner with Banking (Business, Commercial) Relationship Managers and Workplace Benefits designated Advisors, Workplace Benefits Institutional Sales Support team, and internal partners throughout sales process.

Specific responsibilities include:

Provide centralized support for field based Workplace Benefits Specialists throughout the full cycle of the sales process including business identification and development, client engagement, and servicing/deepening of client relationshipsFacilitate new plan proposal processMaintain active pipeline measurements via centralized CRM toolProactively contact Banking and Advisory partners and communicate complex strategies and sales ideasRespond to all incoming business inquiriesServe as liaison between various internal teams and the end clientServe as remote Workplace Benefits Specialist for Banking and Advisory partnersMaintain and develop deep knowledge of Workplace Benefits product offerings/enhancements, legislative updates/environment, and sales strategiesAccountable for driving sales growth in Workplace Benefits plan within assigned sales territoryRequired Skills:Series 7, and Series 66 licenses requiredLife & Variable Annuity licenses required (or ability obtain within Compliance Deadline)Three to five years or more experience with Retirement or Workplace Benefits plan experience (sales or client centric servicing experience preferred)Strong technical expertise of Workplace Benefits products (DC, DB, NQDC, Equity, HBS) required, knowledge of competitive landscape preferredAbility to communicate complex information to a wide variety of personnel in a clear, concise, and well organized mannerStrong interpersonal/rapport building skills are required to build relationships with Advisors, Banking Relationship Managers, and prospective clients and to enhance Bank of America s brand in the Workplace Benefits marketplace.Proficiency in use of MS Office suite of tools.Familiarity with managing activities and pipeline in a CRM tool (experience with is preferred)Ability to travel when required (~5%)Desired Skills:Bachelor s degree strongly preferred.General knowledge of Banking business and clients is preferredSkills:Active Listening, Oral CommunicationsAnalytical Thinking - Business Case Analysis, Market AnalysisStakeholder Management, Business IntelligenceCustomer and Client FocusProduct Marketing and BrandingNetworking, Planning, Prospecting, Referral IdentificationMinimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalentShift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40
