Key Responsibilities- Support existing customers, contractors, and sales team by providing product information, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Partner with customers to assist with product selection, installation, and placement of orders, as well as requests for prices and quotes.
- Prepare bids and material estimates from customer/contractor-supplied blueprints.
- Create invoices, work orders, and sales tickets.
- Prepare and input orders accurately and efficiently.
- Some college in Business or Construction Management preferred or 2+ years equivalent in experience.
- Experience in a building materials or construction-related industry.
- Knowledge of various product lines and procedures, capable and comfortable quoting prices and presenting sales products in a positive and confident manner.
- Ability to read blueprints and provide estimates on material needs.
- Excellent oral communication skills and positive interpersonal skills; a team player.
- Ability to maintain and enhance positive customer relations.
- Organized, attentive to details, good math skills, knowledge of building materials such as lumber.
- Good computer experience using MS Office products and ability to quickly pick up proprietary software.
