ROLE SUMMARY

As theSenior Medical Affairs Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping equitable patient access to quality medicines and vaccines. Acts as Point of Accountability and senior medical/clinical leader to develop medical strategies and activities for the Pfizer GCAP portfolio in Emerging Markets as they relate to International Public Health and working collaboratively to serve vulnerable patient populations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, your medical affairs expertise will be critical in building strong compliant medical plans aligned with global medical categories to demonstrate impact and improve patient outcomes. This position reports into the Accord & GCAP Medical Lead.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Patient Access Strategy:
Address access challenges and unmet medical needs across EM region from medical standpoint points of view.Work closely with cross functional teams (Marketing, regulatory, public affairs, legal, compliance, and Global Access & Value) to define patient access priorities.Develop and execute a comprehensive medical strategy for Pfizer's portfolio (mainly vaccines, COVID, antivirals, and women's health, etc..) aligning with EM medical priorities.Contributes to Leading the medical conversation and be the external medical ambassador taking an active role in shaping Pfizer's external reputation.Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to compliantly enhance patient access and affordability.GCAP Partnership Development:
Establish and nurture external relationships with key healthcare stakeholders such as partnership with GAVI, UNICEF, The Gates Foundation, including payers, and patient advocacy groups.Provide medical/clinical insights to inform Pfizer's access strategies.Medical/Clinical partner of the Global Health Partnership Team and especially the team's LeaderMedical support of cross-functional activities related to safe and effective use of Pfizer products in Emerging Markets focused on access to vulnerable patient populations.Provide support and institutional memory of Pfizer products viewed by the medical community as critical to advancing international public health goals related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Vaccines including COVID-19, Antivirals, and Established Products (i.e. women's health, etc..):
Inform on the Benefits/Risk profile of Pfizer's medicines and vaccinesLead medical efforts related to vaccines, COVID-19, antivirals, and established products mainly women's health.Support launches and regulatory activities.Demonstrate the clinical value of Pfizer's portfolio.

Global Impact:
Contribute to expanding access for underserved patients across EMAdvocate for equitable access to Pfizer's medicines.

Market Coordination and Readiness:
Becomes a trusted partner and cultivates a strong network of well-informed decision makers and key opinion leaders on the benefit/risk profile of our medicines and vaccines including COVID-19 portfolio.Effectively and compliantly engage and collaborate with internal cross functional teams.Works with cross functional team to identify business development opportunities to address unmet medical needs.Ensures medical strategies are translated into the medical plan, and executed with full integrity.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
MD requiredExtensive 5 years+ experience in medical affairs, access partnerships, or health economics. Preferably with EM experience. Vaccines/Anti-viral subject matter expert requiredStrong understanding of global and EM healthcare systems and access dynamics.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Effective in matrix organization; demonstrated initiative, strong strategic and leadership skills.Ability to build strong cross-functional and regional partnerships.Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities; ability to balance short- and long-term priorities.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $226,200.00 to $377, In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
