About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Science Liaison to join our Global Medical Affairs team at Glaukos Corporation. As a key member of our field-based team, you will play a critical role in engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) on disease state, practice education, and product education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Relationships with customers across assigned geographies, including optometrists and ophthalmologists.
  • Support the Hiring and Coaching of future Medical Science Liaisons, as well as developing innovative processes, infrastructure, and capabilities to best serve our customers.
  • Stay Up-to-Date on Disease State and maintain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of eye diseases, study methodology, clinical information, and diagnostic data.
  • Execute on Approved Medical Platforms and MSL initiatives, providing technical/scientific subject matter expertise to cross-functional partners.
  • Teach, Coach, and Mentor new or less experienced Medical Science Liaisons, assuming responsibility for special projects.
  • Diagnostic Expertise and Strategic Planning will be essential in this role, as you will be responsible for guiding and motivating team members without a direct reporting relationship.
Requirements
  • Doctorate Degree (OD, PharmD, PhD, MD, DO) in a relevant field.
  • 8 Years' Experience in eyecare/ophthalmology, with a focus on medical science liaison roles.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills, with the ability to navigate systems and processes, including Microsoft Office and customer relationship management software.
  • Ability to Travel up to 70% of the time, with a focus on conferences, field-visits nationally, and corporate headquarters.
