The Position:

The VP of Enterprise and Public Sector Compute Sales is a key leadership position responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy to drive revenue growth and meet the company's sales objectives. This role involves overseeing the Enterprise and Public Sector Compute sales teams (including sales directors), managing customer relationships, and ensuring the organization's products or services meet or exceed customer expectations.

Essential Job Duties

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy for both verticals based upon input from the President of Getac and the Sales Heads of respective verticals to achieve revenue targets and drive company growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments to create sales plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Form and lead internal teams, providing training and mentorship as needed.
  • Directly and indirectly manage staff with the goal of enhancing professional development and personal growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners, ensuring their needs are met and their concerns are addressed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Suggest innovative ways of increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior and executive management, including key performance metrics and sales pipeline analysis.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams.

Other Duties

  • Keep abreast of industry and market trend and best practices.
  • Understanding of the public sector market and the F500 market.
  • Ability to manage multiple sales teams using SFDC.
  • Understand the Channel business model with technology products.
  • Researching the market and competitors.
  • Training, mentoring, and motivating the sales team.
  • Collaborating with the marketing department to develop effective promotional materials.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers.

Experience & Education

  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales in an individual contributor role.
  • Experience in rugged computing/tablet marketplace a plus.
  • Results driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and projects.
  • Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Salesforce.

Travel

  • The expected travel for this job position should be a minimum of 50% and could exceed 75% for corporate business meetings, sales calls, trade show events and meetings at company HQ in Irvine, CA.
  • Candidate must be able to work efficiently in a remote home office environment and reside in a major metropolitan market with access to airport/flights.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License, proof of current vehicle insurance and a driving record that meets the company's insurer's criteria; must be able to use own vehicle in the course of work.

The Location:

Getac is located in Irvine, CA but this position would be a remote position preferably in the central region or major metropolitan city.
