Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional Sustainment Project Technical Manager for an exciting opportunity to support the Strategic Automated Command Control System-Sustainment (SACCS) program.


This Project Manager will be accountable to the SACCS Program Manager for all tasks assigned in support of the government System Program Office.


Responsibilities include:


Act as a sustainment subject matter expert, key program advisor, and a focal point for the assessment and reporting of SACCS program status, including technical performance, contract performance, enterprise integrated master schedule health, program risks, issues, and opportunities.

Assist Program Manager in support of day-to-day planning and execution activities of the SACCS program.
Provide Regulatory and Statutory documentation support, Meeting Minutes, and other tasks as needed.
Independently serve as a focal point for multiple assigned projects.
Assist in writing and reviewing technical documents and assist the Program Manager in the review of contractor deliverables.

Assist the BAE program team in designing test plans, identifying test facility requirements, scheduling, and executing tests, writing, and reviewing acquisition documents and reviewing contractor deliverables.

Collaborate with the SACCS-Replacement program, Sub-System Contractor, Depot, and Centralized Repair Facility will be required.

Operate in an organizational culture that develops and challenges program partners to achieve high performance in a fast-paced, high-morale workplace using streamlined management policies and procedures.

#ASFSRequired Education, Experience, & Skills
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in project/program management (5 years with bachelor's degree).
Demonstrated comfort and capabilities working under stressful conditions, aggressive schedules, variable workloads, and shifting priorities.
Risk management experience; demonstrated management experience evaluating and mitigating risk at the program or enterprise level.
Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in managing program cost, schedule, and/or performance.

Must have a current Secret security clearance or higher (adjudicated within the past 6 years) and be eligible to obtain and maintain all required Special Program accesses.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Experience at a System Program Office (or higher-level staff) executing/overseeing program(s) in the Engineering and Manufacturing Development or similar acquisition program phase.

Understanding of integration across multiple areas of an ACAT III level program.

Exceptional customer engagement, writing, and communication skills Experience creating presentation content for executive level meetings and conducting senior level meetings.

Understanding of Department of Defense acquisition and program management processes
Strategic thinker and innovator with continuous improvement mindset.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range:
$ $156330

This range is based on our market pay structures.

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to:

business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
