BAE Systems is seeking a skilled Project Manager to support Sentinel's External Affairs team as Sentinel Stakeholders Project Manager. for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of Sentinel, the nation's next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM).

Why SENTINEL? The Sentinel Program is an enormous and highly complex "Mega-Project" modernizing the entire Minuteman III ICBM weapon system deployed over tens of thousands of square miles across five states. Without a doubt, Sentinel is one of the Department of Defense's (DoD's) most important acquisition efforts for the next decade, if not longer. It includes a complete refurbishment of hundreds of aging ICBM facilities to develop and deploy a newly designed, technologically advanced ballistic missile. The effort will also provide an entirely new command and control system as well as vast array of required support equipment specifically engineered to operate and sustain the new weapon system over the decades ahead. Sentinel is a career-defining program that will present unique and rewarding opportunities that simply are not available with smaller projects.

Tell me about this job. The candidate will provide planning and execution support to meet customer requirements and senior leader intent, from logistics planning and execution, to briefing content development and action item follow-up. The candidate will also monitor progress and work across functions and organizations to meet Senior Program Manager and Executive Leadership Team intent. Candidate will operate in an organizational culture that develops and challenges employees to achieve high performance in a fast-paced, high-morale workplace using streamlined management policies and procedures.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • 7+ years of relevant experience; 5+ years with a master's degree.
  • Strong organizational skills (understand project requirements, coordinate resources, and direct projects).
  • Proficiency to communicate effectively across a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
  • Exceptional customer relations and engagement skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and/or SharePoint skills.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Ability to manage change in a dynamic and evolving program environment, leverage best practices, and innovate through any problem with a can-do attitude.
  • Experience supporting military or industry executive-level leaders (e.g. executive officer, CAG/DAG action officer).
  • Ability to support various process improvement and solution implementation projects.
  • Innovator with continuous improvement mindset.
  • ICBM experience a plus.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $156330

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
