Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automation and Controls Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation and control systems for our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs), preferably Siemens
  • Troubleshoot and program vision inspection systems
  • Develop and implement robotics solutions, including linear and articulating robots
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles, including assembly line balancing and visual factory design
  • Define cycle time and integrate ergonomics principles in line design
  • Release manufacturing process documents and issue process flowcharts
  • Conduct process failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and support updating plant layout
  • Follow-up prototype builds and collaborate with technology experts and support functions

Requirements

  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of process and manufacturing methods
  • At least 5 years' experience in automation/controls, with a focus on robot programming, traceability systems, and low-voltage control wiring
  • Experience with Siemens PLCs and vision systems (Keyence/Cognex) is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a technical discipline
