Timken Power Systems is currently seeking a Northeast Regional Sales Manager to oversee and manage an existing sales force and to grow the sales force in the Northeast Region as needed and to optimize profit while meeting marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives. This team is responsible for driving business growth in electric motor and gearbox repairs and sales. This position reports to the General Manager - Northeast Region.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Meet company objectives for product sales and profitability
  • Maintain existing product sales, while formulating new product line strategy to assure market growth
  • Monitor and be held accountable for financial performance of the group; take corrective action as needed or directed
  • Manage and develop an existing network of regional representatives within the territory
  • Meet operational requirements and follow up on results
  • Set up dealer networks in new markets
  • Visit customers and quickly assess needs, oversee engineering specifications, and convert customer opportunities into profitable sales
  • Manage existing sales staff, make joint sales calls, and assist in closing large or complicated orders
  • Direct sales efforts to assure customer inquiries are handled in a professional, efficient, and timely manner
  • Provide sales training and other development needs as identified to sales force; render and document disciplinary action as needed
  • Direct all aspects of the sales operation to the highest level of professionalism
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, typically 50% or more
  • This role is primarily remote and has a high level of autonomy

  • Experience with CRM software

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, engineering, business or manufacturing from an accredited college or university is preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Applicant must have 10+ years of of industrial sales experience, gearbox repair and/or motor repair experience preferred
  • Prior management experience
