Role Summary

Reporting to the EM Commercial Excellence Lead the Business Operations Associate will work with minimal supervision to:

  • Process the Procurement Orders for all the Emerging Markets Commercial Organization (EMCO) reporting to EM Chief Commercial Officer, across all
  • categories and locations in Emerging Markets.
  • Standardize and enhance EMCO procurement and approval process for the standard work across each country and ensure compliance with procurement policies, and legal and compliance guidelines.
  • Advise the team members and resolve any issues related to the procurement-to-pay process, as required.
  • Interface and engage with key stakeholders and vendors to triage any deviations from original contracts to enhance business outcomes and avoid overcharging.
  • Work with procurement to set the vendors on the system and assure contracts are legal and compliant in the country they are being set up.
  • Work close with Finance to track A&P executions and PO invoicing and to prepare the report needed for EMCO OPEX budget execution
  • Ensure clear, effective communication exists between all parties involved.
  • Work with the EMCO team to implement and maintain an efficient and effective procurement process and contribute to the optimization of marketing investments.
  • Functional expert and support to EMCO on Ariba functionality and financial A&P reporting
  • Work with internal functional experts, to implement and document various procurement/contracting team strategies and operational improvement efforts
  • Support the analytical requirements, including but not limited to: category spends and supplier analysis, vendors and SoWs data management
  • Manage EMCO Commercial Excellence team budget ensuring phasing and spend are on track throughout the year and updating LEs as appropriate
  • Assist with special projects as needed

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage centralization of all PO creation in the countries where the EMCCO team operate, including countries in LATAM, EM Asia and AfME.
  • Coordinate the vendor creation in each country required for Emerging Markets Commercial Organization, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Manage ePay and purchase orders through Ariba system and track invoices as needed
  • Validate all invoices against the contract and triage any deviations with each vendor
  • Act as a point of advice and expertise for procurement core compliance questions and liaise with the compliance organization
  • Analyze vendor usage and work across procurement to find opportunities to generate savings.
  • Accountable for workload planning activities to ensure optimal service levels as per pre-defined KPIs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience required, with direct experience working in procurement, finance, or related roles in healthcare/pharma preferred.
  • Experience working with Ariba and SAP
  • Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare environment
  • Service oriented, highly collaborative, self-motivated and results oriented
  • Good communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. Fluent English a must.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse workload

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Participating in virtual meetings outside of normal business hours will occasionally be required to accommodate need for team equity, as team is spread across geographies and time zones (frequency based on location; we attempt to practice EQUITY to reduce burden on team members, by rotating time when these meetings occur).

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $64,600.00 to $107,600.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.   • The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $58,100.00 to $96,900.00.
