About the Role

The Senior Manager, Construction (Americas & India) is responsible for leading the Americas & India Construction Services team that collaborates and advises Magna Groups and Divisions on a wide range of real estate matters for both owned and leased properties, which are primarily industrial. This role is responsible for the effective management of the Americas and India portfolio and the development of team members. This position reports directly to the Director, Construction & Technical Services, Americas & India

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide day to day direction, leadership, and mentorship to Americas & India Real Estate Construction Services Team to ensure success of the Magna Global Real Estate Team
  • Provide advice and support to Director, Construction & Technical Services, Americas & India as it relates to reporting to executive leadership
  • Collaborate with Real Estate Legal & Transactions Team to develop efficient project delivery processes and best practices
  • Provide recommendations, guidance and implement operational improvement initiatives to support department growth
  • Develop strategic construction planning and project management processes with Magna Groups to enable business growth
  • Provide guidance to Magna Groups and Divisions on global real estate policies, guidelines, and procedures (including Sustainability initiatives)
  • Establish network of external real estate partners such as Engineers, Architects, Project Managers, and other Consultants to facilitate strategic real estate vision
  • Remain current on market conditions and trends relevant to region of portfolio for the purpose of benchmarking and developing innovative ideas for portfolio management
  • Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets
  • Update senior management of Magna Groups on portfolio management, transaction status and value add strategies for portfolio
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Magna Groups and Divisions and with Magna Corporate departments
Who we are looking for
  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Business Administration or Real Estate
  • 10+ years' experience working in commercial real estate
  • Demonstrated ability to set strategic visions and align resources to deliver results
  • Ability to manage and influence change; adaptable and capable of dealing with ambiguous situations
  • Ability to build and manage collaborative working relationships at all levels of Magna Groups and Divisions
  • Ability to establish trust and credibility with senior leaders
  • Ability to deal with issues in a confidential manner
  • Well-developed consulting and negotiating skills
  • Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas and concepts across global regions and cultural conditions
  • Ability to understand and promote Magna values, philosophies, and policies
