Job Overview

Position: Construction Project Administrator

Reports To: Lead Project Administrator and Company President

Objective: The Construction Project Administrator is responsible for ensuring that all construction projects are executed efficiently, adhering to budget constraints, quality benchmarks, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate daily construction operations for residential renovation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with construction drawings, building regulations, and client requirements.
  • Track production timelines and contractor schedules to guarantee timely project delivery.
  • Maintain project quality and manage costs to protect profit margins.
  • Create and implement inspection checklists and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct site inspections and arrange municipal inspections as needed.
  • Compile and submit daily field reports for each project.
  • Keep the President updated on project developments.
  • Engage with clients on-site, addressing inquiries and ensuring satisfaction with construction quality.
  • Procure materials and schedule their delivery, ensuring timely arrival and inspection upon receipt.
  • Guide field personnel, contractors, and suppliers, assisting with tasks when necessary.
  • Communicate safety protocols and quality standards to all site staff.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients on plan modifications and change orders.
  • Conduct pre-closing walkthroughs with clients and coordinate punch list tasks.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Perform material take-offs and manage the logistics of material procurement.
  • Delegate responsibilities related to shop organization and vehicle maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate with inspectors.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to quality and performance standards.

  • Proficient in MS Office and construction/project management software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
