PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Exhibitor Services Supervisor position delivers high levels of customized service to show management and individual exhibitors of major trade shows by accommodating all requests. They interact with customers via phone and onsite providing follow through of customer requests and anticipating the needs of clients.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms.
  • Able to lead and mentor a team.
  • Ability to to make sound decisions immediately without supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to read and write proficiently to evaluate reports, correspondence and statistical information.
  • Perception and awareness of individual needs and the ability to handle all situations calmly and professionally.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine.
  • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail.
  • Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
  • Ability to type 35 words per minute.
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of related experience
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekend and holidays.

PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality.
  • One (1) year of event, trade show or hospitality experience
  • Bilingual, English as the primary or secondary language
  • Experience working in a similar resort setting.
  • Experience in guest relations training
  • Experience in Convention Services at a hotel with at least 100,000 sq. ft. of meeting space
