Are you a meticulous professional with a background in event coordination?
Shepard Exposition Services is seeking an Event Operations Manager to join their team and oversee local events within the branch region. In this role, you will be tasked with managing the planning and execution of various activities for each assigned event.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the production of trade shows at local events
  • Estimate labor costs and monitor labor throughout the event until completion
  • Prepare and distribute production plans
  • Adhere to Team Leader Standard Operating Procedures while executing Team Leader responsibilities
  • Review and comply with Management Orders for each event
  • Process exhibitor orders promptly
  • Coordinate union labor requests
  • Schedule and manage union labor
  • Maintain awareness of union agreements, regulations, and labor rates
  • Meet planning and production timelines
  • Enforce safety regulations and company best practices
  • Follow payroll protocols and submit payroll accurately and punctually
  • Ensure timecards are correctly coded for precise job cost reporting
  • Manage labor expenses and reduce overtime
  • Travel nationally as required to oversee specific tasks or projects
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working on-site for a trade show general contractor – supervisory experience is advantageous
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Bi or multilingual skills are a plus
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required

  • Ability to act as a responsible ESOP owner making daily decisions that benefit both the client and the company
