The Lead Analyst, SEM is a senior member of the Search Engin Marketing (SEM) team within the Digital Marketing group. The role researches, builds, monitors and optimizes SEM campaigns for challenging marketing scenarios across a wide range of portfolios and segments to have a direct impact on revenue and high-quality web traffic growth.

This position reports into the SEO & SEM Manager and is a remote opportunity.

What we're looking for:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business or related field
    • Master's degree or equivalent from reputable school preferred
  • Experience: 8+ years applicable experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience in digital channels such as SEM, SEO, email, etc.
    • Advanced knowledge of search Engine Marketing, Search Engine Optimization and content marketing
    • Advanced digital ad copywriting skills
    • Significant knowledge of digital marketing tactics, tools and benchmarks
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools including Qlikview, Google data Studio and Microsoft Power BI

How you will create an impact:

  • Utilize advanced keyword research tools and marketing techniques to develop and implement SEM campaigns that solve complex marketing challenges to revenue and web traffic growth
  • Independently develop and implement operational plans for key topics and minimal supervision, ensuring timely execution, compliance with budget constraints, and alignment with overall Digital Marketing team strategy
  • Develop ad copy that resonates strongly with Avantor's customers across all segments and industries in scenarios that range from simple to complex with multiple competing priorities and stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with Content, Portfolio, and Communications teams to ensure ad copy and landing pages are optimized for search engine performance and user conversion
  • Adjust marketing strategies within each campaign to maximize ROI and meet key performance to management, up to and including Senior Leadership, highlighting success and areas for improvement
  • Stay abreast of the latest SEM trends and technologies, applying cutting-edge methods to maintain and enhance campaign performance
  • Contribute to the SEM teams' knowledge base by sharing best practices, learnings and industry updates to foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Assist in the training and development of junior team members, guiding them in the implantation of SEM strategies and techniques
  • Other duties as assigned
