The Program Manager will be responsible for:

  • Assume a leadership position overseeing the progression of product development initiatives.
  • Guide and mentor both internal and external technical personnel to bolster program support.
  • Foster teamwork across various departments including product development, manufacturing engineering, operations, regulatory affairs, clinical affairs, sustaining, product specialists, and quality teams to ensure the smooth execution of programs within designated timeframes and financial parameters.
  • Develop and implement program management tools and methodologies to enhance program execution efficiency.
  • Maintain timely updates on program progress and present them as necessary.
  • Contribute to defining program objectives and establishing project scopes.
  • Uphold adherence to project timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Regularly monitor and report project status to Senior Management and other pertinent stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project teams to create, maintain, and synchronize an accurate project timeline and resource plan.
  • Identify critical path activities, anticipate potential risks, and formulate contingency plans in conjunction with project teams.
  • Provide insightful analysis of timeline and resource data to support scenario planning, risk assessment, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Oversee collaborations with external engineering partners when needed for the design, construction, and testing of bespoke medical device systems, subsystems, and software.

The successful Program Manager will have what follows:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is essential.
  • Possess over 8 years of experience in a regulated medical device/medical equipment setting adhering to FDA/ISO standards.
  • Preferably, have 5 or more years of experience in overseeing technical teams and programs.
  • Display meticulous attention to detail alongside robust organizational capabilities.
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities and interpersonal aptitude.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in program management, including budget oversight, milestone adherence, and deliverable achievement.
  • Showcase excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess effective analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
  • Show a track record of thriving in dynamic environments, adjusting priorities as needed.
  • Previous involvement in the design, production, and market introduction of perfusion products, both disposable and durable, is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with regulatory protocols and standards is required.
  • Ability to lead teams and individuals within a matrix structure, track team performance against objectives, employ efficient meeting management practices, and employ conflict resolution strategies.
  • Proficiency in project management software/tools at the Expert or Power User level, facilitating scheduling, task and milestone tracking, resource allocation, and management reporting.
