Primary Responsibilities and Duties

  • Using their expertise in existing automation and data management tools to continuously develop and enhance data reporting.
  • Develop and articulate a clear vision and strategy for data governance aligning to North America Regional Quality objectives.
  • Establish and maintain robust data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and uphold data standards and practices across the organization.
  • Conduct thorough data quality assessments and implement strategies for continuous data quality improvement.
  • Facilitate secure and compliant data access and sharing within the organization.
  • Educate and train stakeholders on data governance principles and practices to foster a data-conscious culture.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive data reporting systems to track quality metrics and performance.
  • Measuring the effectiveness of data-related initiatives, and continuously improving data processes.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects, utilizing data insights to drive better business outcomes.
  • Ensure alignment of data analytics practices with overall strategic quality objectives.
  • Managing and maintaining the process for region specific technology which supports daily operations (i.e., bots)
  • Contribute in monthly / quarterly meetings and management report-outs.
  • Generate established and ad hoc reports and metrics in a timely manner by transforming new and potentially complex requirements into actionable deliverables.
  • Facilitate team meetings, lean blitzes, workshops utilizing lean tools. Ensure regulatory compliance of projects by collaborating with the applicable groups.
  • Project Management and execution. Plans, leads project update reviews, and work with team to complete action items.
  • Effectively reports out to both site and off-site teams on progress of projects.
  • May perform other duties as required

KSA Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Proven capability to guide and sway teams under high-pressure conditions and stringent deadlines without formal authority.
  • Must possess, and demonstrate ability, to operate cross-functionally, remove silos and Win as one BD while maintaining a customer-centric focus.
  • Advanced analytical knowledge of data, ability to interpret and provide meaningful insights and identify actionable data.
  • Data extraction experience from a multitude of systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Quality System standards and regulations including 21 CFR 803 & 820, ISO 13485 and Canadian regulations.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement concepts and tools.
  • Project Management methodology understanding.
  • Must be motivated, self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision with ability to assess priorities.
  • Demonstrated analytical capability and proficiency in data analysis tools and software, including advanced level of Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Sharepoint. Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate and Minitab is a plus.
  • Excellent ability to apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to create and present material, adjusting to the level of the audience (User, Manager, and Director level).
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including persuasion, effective communication, objectivity, assertiveness, and thoroughness.
  • Continuous and versatile learner.

Education/Degree

  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Life or Computer/Data Sciences) or a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant data analysis experience.

Certifications

  • Preferred but not required: ASQ QA, Kaizen Leader or Six Sigma Green Belt

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in medical device, hospital or pharma. Medical device is preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in data management and the preparation of materials for meetings and presentation.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Leading Continuous Improvement initiatives and/or Project Management. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high performing teams, including, talent management and fostering a culture aligned with BD Values.

Other :

  • Ability to influence without authority coupled with ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate with peers and management across all functions. May function in a project leadership role.
  • May interface with internal or 3rd party audits (e.g., FDA, Notified Body, etc.)
  • Considered Functional Level Subject Matter Expert in assigned areas of data management and analysis.
  • Travel % of time as needed.
