We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Improvement Specialist to join our team at Methodist Healthcare of San Antonio. As a Quality Improvement Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.

Job Summary:

The Quality Improvement Specialist will be responsible for coordinating performance improvement activities, analyzing healthcare processes, and generating reports to identify areas for improvement. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, and participate in the evaluation of their impact.

Responsibilities:
  • Measure and analyze healthcare processes and patient outcomes to identify areas for improvement
  • Generate and present reports to stakeholders on quality improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate performance improvement activities, including root cause analysis and sentinel event investigations
  • Collaborate with Risk Management to review correspondence related to quality of care issues
  • Participate in efforts to establish and maintain organizational readiness to meet regulatory requirements
  • Educate staff and physicians on performance improvement processes and patient safety
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or related healthcare degree
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience in a hospital setting
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing or related healthcare field, Quality Management, regulatory compliance, or TQM/CQI experience
