Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a highly skilled Regional MDS Coordinator to join our team. As a Regional MDS Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate reimbursement of Medicare and Medicaid patients through the Patient Assessment Instrument (RAI) process.
Key Responsibilities- Review and Coordinate Medicaid and Medicare Case Mix Data: Ensure accurate and timely submission of case mix data for the region.
- Validate MDS Coding, ICD-10 Coding, and RUG Groupers: Conduct thorough reviews of documentation to ensure accurate MDS 3.0 completion and proper reimbursement.
- Assess Current Processes and Evaluate Compliance: Identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with company standards and Long Term Care regulations.
- Provide Education and Training: Educate licensed and non-licensed staff on MDS coding, ICD-10 coding, and RUG groupers.
- Identify Opportunities and Make Recommendations: Analyze data and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Current RN/LVN License: Must have a current RN/LVN license.
- Medicaid or Medicare MDS Nurse: Must have experience as a Medicaid or Medicare MDS nurse.
- 3-5 Years MDS/RAI Experience: Must have 3-5 years of experience in MDS/RAI.
- Case Mix Management Experience: Must have experience in case mix management in a long term care setting.
- CPR Certification: Must maintain current CPR certification.
- Excellent Communication and Computer Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent computer software skills.
