Job Title: Medical Records Clerk

Overview: Our client, a leading provider of senior living and care services, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining the accuracy and confidentiality of resident medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the seamless delivery of care in our community

Key Responsibilities

Records Management: Maintain, organize, and update resident medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Process medical documentation and handle record requests in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards. Data Entry & Management: Enter patient information into electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately. Perform routine audits of records to ensure data integrity and compliance with legal requirements. Confidentiality & Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and privacy in handling medical records. Ensure all records and documentation are securely stored and disposed of in accordance with Oak Park Place policies and legal regulations. Communication & Support: Collaborate with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and residents to facilitate effective communication regarding medical documentation. Assist in the retrieval of records for audits, inspections, or legal inquiries. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical records management or a related field. Familiarity with PCC EMR system is preferred. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in medical records management or health information technology is a plus. Skills: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and standard office software. Attributes: Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
