Metric Search have partnered with a fast-growing Bay Area start-up developing next-generation software for ADAS & autonomous driving applications. They recently raised over $50M, taking their total funding raised to $100M+ & giving them a company valuation of $400M+.
As a result of their growth they are currently seeking to hire a Technical Manager who would be responsible for overseeing the development of the complete autonomy stack (perception through to planning & control) for an L4 vehicle which will operate in urban environments.
You will report directly into the VP of Engineering and take on a pivotal role designing & maintaining the AV SW architecture, whilst managing the complete AV Software Team.
You would have 7 direct reports immediately with the expectation to expand the team moving forward making this a unique opportunity to join a pioneering AI organization in a leading position where you can advance autonomous driving technology whilst establishing & building your own team.
Requirements
- Experience working on L4 highly autonomous driving SW development, ideally at a company that has deployed their technology commercially.
- Past experience in the technical management of teams of AV/Robotics Software Engineers
- Understanding and exposure to the full autonomy stack (perception, prediction, localization & mapping - SLAM, planning & control)
