Medix is seeking a Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to fulfill the role of Program Coordinator for a Treatment Program. This forensic outpatient program provides court and parole-mandated treatment and supervision to individuals committed as Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity, Offender with a Mental Health Disorder, or Incompetent to Stand Trial.


As part of the leadership of this interdisciplinary treatment team, the Program Coordinator provides clinical supervision to pre- and post-licensure clinicians, interns, and practicum students; oversees case managers and home visit counselors; supports the Program Director in overseeing daily program operations; interfaces with community-based stakeholders; and provides direct clinical care and crisis intervention as needed. This is a full-time, salaried position, with intermittent on-call responsibilities. The role of Program Coordinator is an excellent opportunity for an early-career Psychologist or LCSW seeking to expand his/her skills in:

Job Duties:

  • 1:1 supervision once a week with each clinician
  • Editing and approving court reports
  • Oversee interdisciplinary team of Counselors and Case Managers
  • Providing feedback and support for team members
  • Manage Case Load of 1-5 patients



Successful candidates for the Program Coordinator position will have the following:

  • License as a Psychologist OR LCSW in the State of California
  • Experience providing treatment and/or assessment in a forensic setting
  • Experience working with individuals with severe chronic mental illnesses
  • Experience working with individuals with substance abuse problems
  • Leadership experience or the professional demeanor that lends itself to developing as a leader
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

  • Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
  • 9/80 schedule


Salary:

Starting at $115,000.00+
