I am looking to hire a full-time Director of Business Development to join our client's team. This is a hybrid role sitting in St. Louis, MO. Base salary range of $200-220k. Additional benefits provided include medical, vision, and dental insurance, as well as a 10-15% bonus based on salary.


The candidate our client is seeking needs to have experience supporting the Mastercard portfolio. They would also entertain someone who has done Project Management or Delivery Management at Mastercard previous but is in a sales/business development capacity currently. The 'why' behind this is because our client is trying to further penetrate the established Mastercard account by leveraging previous connections and contacts this candidate possesses. This candidate will also be the only person on the Mastercard account and will have complete ownership over it.


Because this individual will be the only one on the account, he/she needs to have proven experience in a previous role involving account mining/farming, hunting, sales, and business development within the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) domain, preferably in the IT services industry.


This person must be willing and able to be on-site at least 2-3 times a week, walking the floors of clients, wining and dining clients at companies' expense, enthusiastic, hungry and passionate for this role. Although this person will be selling our client and all their services from the start of the sales process to closing, they will have support from the SMEs to help speak on any technical or advanced terms they may not be familiar with. They will be heavily involved with clients as well as working with their internal team and must have a hunter mentality.



The ideal candidate will possesses:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales within the IT services industry, with a focus on the BFSI domain.
  • Proven experience in a role involving account mining/farming, hunting, sales, and business development within the BFSI domain, preferably in the IT services industry.
  • Strong understanding of BFSI industry trends, challenges, and regulatory environment.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver results under pressure.
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
