Our team is dedicated to developing new business and establishing long-lasting business partnerships advising our customers on the best products and solutions to solve their business needs. Our goal is to leverage your existing relationships along with our significant customer base in the Nebraska – western Iowa market delivering exciting, smart building technologies to all vertical markets We’re seeking a hard-working Account Executive with sales, account management or construction experience who is innovative, collaborative with an outgoing personality and a drive for successfully closing sales.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·        Strategically identifies, cultivates and manages existing and prospecting new accounts specializing in fully integrated and leading-edge technologies serving commercial, educational, healthcare and industrial customers.

·        Develops and executes marketing strategies and materials to increase the team's customer base according to the strategic plan.

·        Has extensive industry and customer relationships in the Nebraska and western Iowa area by holding key leadership positions, attending industry and association events to further enhance business relationships.

·        Schedules and conducts sales calls to existing and new customers, key decision makers and influencers.

·        Manages sales process pipeline via a minimum of monthly checkpoints to gain progressive commitments from the customer focusing on jointly agreed upon next steps, action items and milestone dates with the customers.

·        Negotiates projects, addressing resistance when demonstrated and closes the sale differentiating our company as a total building solution through value positioning and ongoing customer satisfaction.

·        Knows your customers’ business requirements and the impact we can have whether system reliability, indoor air quality, cyber security, reduced risk, joint commission/regulatory compliance or enhanced student learning.

·        Develops and accomplishes a sales plan exceeding sales quota while tracking and forecasting progress in a customer relationship management tool (CRM).

·        Manages and grows assigned portfolio consisting of various customers from C-level to end-users, engineers and contractors.


·        Establishes highly responsive and effective communication with internal and external customers to answer inquiries, develop and negotiate projects expanding the depth and breadth of offerings within that account as well as performing product demonstrations -- all at a high-quality level aligned with their customers’ needs.

·        Creates continuous process improvement, enhancing the customer experience focusing on sales and operations synergy to deliver cost-effective projects aligned with customer value ensuring successful job turn-over to operations for implementation.

·        Acts as the interface between operations and the customer on day-to-day issues.

·        Utilizes critical thinking as our work is of a complex nature and often requires creative solutions.

·        Uses independent judgment to resolve issues and arrive at decisions. Reports to and performs other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Business Development.

Minimum Requirements

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology or related field preferred; however, extensive industry sales experience may be substituted.

·        Three (3) years of progressively increased responsibilities and diverse sales experience in the Building Automation/Controls/Security industry.

·        Demonstrated ability to assess building technology needs, design and present proposed turnkey solutions aligning with the customers goals, assisting with cost/benefit/risk assessments and providing various value-based solution options. Experience as an account manager, in the traditional plan & spec bid and/or design-build markets. Demonstrated ability to influence the market at key levels. Strong initiative and interpersonal communications skills.

·        High level of proficiency with Microsoft based platforms to include CRM.

·        A proven work history as a sales professional & leader - exhibited through professional experience, education, organizations and other community involvement.

·        An energetic and tenacious candidate with proven success of closing deals and meeting sales goals with new and existing customers.

·        Strong networking abilities with excellent follow up skills.

·        A team player with a high degree of self-motivation and drive.

·        Professional and personable demeanor with good written/verbal communication skills.

·        Ability to work productively with highly motivated sales professionals.

·        Travel within the assigned territory.
