The Position
gWorks is currently seeking a driven, energetic, and results-oriented Account Executive who will be responsible for new logo sales of gWorks’ SaaS products to small local government territory with a value-oriented, client-focused sales approach. The Expectation

The role requires getting things done consistently and handling a variety of activities. Self-assurance, and the confidence to purposely drive toward results while problem-solving and engaging the commitment of others is essential. Curiosity and humility to want to improve one’s sales craft and turn coaching into action are important ingredients to long-term success and value creation. An engagement style that is firm and goal-oriented, and yet enthusiastically motivates others is critical. The emphasis on building rapport and relationships with individuals and groups requires an outgoing, poised and persuasive communication style. While the job requires the ability to act independently, a sense of urgency and the confidence to handle a variety of challenges, a full commitment to the success of the business and high standards of achievement are expected in this position.
The successful Account Executive will have:
Skills & Experience:
- Expertly aid prospects through the buying process to consistently win new business and cross-sells in a high volume environment
- Thoroughly understand customer needs and effectively communicate the gWorks solution value proposition.
- Develop and manage your pipeline to consistently meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas.
- Be driven to stay current in gWorks’ SaaS offerings, their benefits, and the value they provide to our clients.
- Attend conferences and occasionally travel to get in front of prospects, present to local government council meetings, and speak at events to drive the sales process to a successful conclusion.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date forecasts.
- Track all activity and documentation within a CRM (HubSpot).
- Be an active user of CRM (HubSpot), Gong, Email/Call Sequencing (HubSpot), and be collaborative with sales support (SE/BDR/Marketing team)
Qualifications:
- College degree in business or related fields.
- 1+ year Sales, Marketing, or outbound calling experience
- GovTech sales and experience working with local government and utilities a plus
- SaaS or recurring revenue sales experience a plus
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle a variety of concurrent tasks while working independently or with a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A successful and provable history of selling a suite of software products and services in a committee environment with varied stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, online business tools, and CRM.
- Loves and is comfortable with technology. Able to learn new technologies quickly.
Members of the sales team should expect to attend 4-6 conferences in their territory each year during event season.
