Position Overview

The Sales Executive is tasked with driving profitable growth across all service lines offered by the Restaurant Services Division. This role involves engaging with both current and potential clients to foster relationships that enhance volume and customer satisfaction. A key aspect of this position is the ability to articulate Darling's unique value proposition and utilize data-driven insights to address client needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strengthen relationships with existing clients to maximize account potential and drive profitable growth.
  • Build new client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up on leads generated by the Customer Engagement Center.
  • Identify and establish new accounts by strategically planning daily activities to engage potential customers.
  • Enhance profitability by focusing on high-volume and multi-unit accounts to achieve company objectives.
  • Assess product value and profitability for both new and existing clients.
  • Execute sales strategies and oversee the negotiation of contracts, ensuring successful service agreements.
  • Utilize CRM systems for comprehensive customer profiling and data management.
  • Conduct site assessments and facilitate installations during the pre-sales and post-sales phases.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Logistics teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and efficient material handling.
  • Address customer concerns by investigating issues and proposing effective solutions, while providing feedback to management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in sales within the food service sector is preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and Oracle systems.
  • A positive attitude with effective time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to walk, stand, balance, stoop, bend, and kneel.
  • Occasionally required to lift or move up to 10 lbs.

Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based, with occasional visits to customer locations.
