At FIRST INSURANCE GROUP LLC, we recognize that navigating the complexities of group health insurance can be challenging. We are in search of a dedicated Senior Benefits Account Executive who will collaborate with brokers and insurance carriers to deliver outstanding service to our clientele.

What will your responsibilities include?

Your role will involve...

  • Independently managing customer service responsibilities for a portfolio of group benefit plans, including fully insured, level funded, and self-funded options.
  • Supporting producers in crafting service strategies for assigned accounts and overseeing the execution of these plans.
  • Assisting in the preparation of enrollment documentation and presentations, and participating in client meetings and benefit fairs.
  • Completing account servicing tasks, which may include utilizing standard proposals, spreadsheets, and presentations based on the products quoted.
  • Timely invoicing of all premium-related transactions.
  • Reviewing applications and policies for accuracy and completeness, while actively fulfilling all carrier requirements for policy implementation.
  • Managing the renewal process in accordance with agency protocols, including reviewing quotes and preparing proposals.
  • Responding promptly to client inquiries and requests for assistance.
  • Communicating essential information to producers, clients, carriers, and other agency team members involved in account servicing.
  • Maintaining electronic account files and fully utilizing the agency management system in daily operations.
  • Conducting quality reviews as requested by management and adhering to quality program requirements.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients to enhance business retention, and accompanying producers to client and carrier meetings as needed.
  • Ensuring confidentiality in handling sensitive information, including Protected Health Information (PHI).

Qualifications:

To be considered, you should possess...

  • A minimum of five years of experience in Employee Benefits.
  • Thorough understanding of fully insured, level funded, and self-funded group designs.
  • Familiarity with carrier rating and underwriting processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), Applied Epic, and Employee Navigator.
  • A strong commitment to confidentiality.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Capability to adhere to safety and security protocols and utilize equipment and materials appropriately.
  • Ability to comply with all workplace policies and procedures.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
  • A valid Driver's License.
  • A Nebraska Life, Sickness, Accident, and Health Agent's license.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
