Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the Methodist Hospital Laboratory (The Pathology Center) in planning, customer/patient/employee satisfaction, budgeting, and human resource management.
- Develop and review annual goals and objectives; ensure timeliness and priorities meet expectations.
- Collaborate with physician leadership to create and implement the Laboratory’s Strategic Plan.
- Drive growth strategies, foster a unified culture, and promote effective collaboration within the team.
- Commit to quality improvement, establish operational standards, and manage performance improvement initiatives.
- Ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, and maintain compliance with regulatory and technical standards.
- Oversee budget preparation, billing processes, and long-range planning for laboratory operations.
- Manage human resources, including staff motivation, recruitment, and retention, while handling conflict prevention and resolution.
- Monitor information management practices and collaborate on IT projects, manage contracts, and perform annual reviews.
- Provide age-specific patient care and uphold leadership standards and accountability.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology science with at least one year experience with high complexity testing
- Certified as Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by ASCP or AMT
- Minimum of four years progressive experience in clinical laboratory science required
- Must possess strong knowledge of clinical laboratory practice, applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards
