Overview


The supervisor will manage daily operations and high-impact projects that execute on strategic and operational priorities that drive HR operations and compliance initiatives. This position reports to the HR Manager and works closely with the Manager to drive improvement of all Compliance and HR activities, ensure high-quality service to staff, clients, and organizational leaders, and support building efficient, effective, and consistent processes. The Supervisor will manage local and offshore direct reports at the administrative coordinator level.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises a team (NY and Offshore) within the HR Operations and Compliance areas, and holds direct reports accountable to goals and expectations
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support the creation and review of internal compliance policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure they are up-to-date and effective.
  • Work closely across departments to ensure that compliance requirements are integrated into daily operations and all staff members understand their compliance responsibilities.
  • Maintain client and vendor billing agreements and renewals
  • Facilitates the renewal and recertification process for all programs and vendors
  • Ensures accuracy of recorded information for licensing, certifications, and contracts
  • Actively monitors daily service delivery for all direct reports, and ensures accountability for producing high-quality and timely deliverables
  • Provides high-quality support to employees and managers, and coaches direct reports for continuous process improvements
  • Evaluate own workstreams and those of the Operations team; make data-driven, strategic recommendations for improvements that balance competing priorities and constraints
  • Provides strategic support to the Director and HR Manager with the implementation of the team’s goals and objectives

Required Qualifications

  • Several years of directly related experience
  • Experience working in an operations supervisor role with proven experience as a supervisor in a similar role, preferably within back-office HR and compliance
  • Experience in managing, coaching, onboarding, and training team members
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in office software and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, calendar management, and HR systems
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to execute, which achieves desirable outcomes
