Key Responsibilities of the HR Operations Manager:
Recruitment Strategy
- Formulates a unique and strategic recruitment plan in partnership with firm and departmental leaders.
- Oversees the recruitment process, including in-office interviews and participation in campus events/job fairs.
- Conducts annual assessments of campus partnerships to optimize recruitment efforts.
- Establishes strong connections with key campus representatives.
- Advises on and monitors the annual recruitment budget.
- Builds and maintains robust relationships with external recruiters throughout the year.
- Provides support for client recruitment initiatives as necessary.
Onboarding Excellence
- Designs and manages onboarding programs in collaboration with departmental leadership.
- Assesses the effectiveness of onboarding initiatives with the Managing Partner and departmental heads.
Performance Enhancement
- Leads the organization’s performance management framework, including engagement evaluation processes.
- Facilitates leadership development for firm members.
- Acts as an advocate for employees, fostering an environment that motivates and empowers team members to excel.
- Provides guidance and support to staff through various employee relations matters.
Training and Development Initiatives
- Assists department leaders in developing Continuing Professional Education (CPE) training programs.
- Creates and delivers internal training programs focused on soft skills development.
- Orients new hires and provides training on HR policies as needed.
- Manages CPE tracking, reporting, and training activities.
Compensation and Benefits Management
- Supports the annual compensation review process as required.
- Administers all employee benefits programs.
- Oversees the benefits enrollment process and health and wellness initiatives.
HR Administration
- Maintains the personnel manual in compliance with relevant employment laws.
- Oversees the documentation of firm policies and procedures.
- Ensures timely and accurate completion of HR documentation and data entry.
- Maintains confidential personnel files.
- Coordinates firm social events as needed.
- Ensures compliance with applicable HR laws and regulations.
Marketing and Outreach
- Engages in professional associations, attends meetings, and stays informed about changes in the HR landscape as it pertains to public accounting.
- Oversees the firm’s participation in various activities to enhance visibility among potential candidates.
- Assists in creating marketing materials for recruitment initiatives.
Payroll Oversight
- Reviews payroll processes.
- Provides backup for payroll preparation when necessary.
Qualifications and Skills Required for the HR Operations Manager:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or Psychology is highly preferred.
- SPHR certification is a plus.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Consistently exhibits attention to detail and follow-through.
- Collaborative team player with flexibility and patience.
