POSITION OVERVIEW

Through commemoration, exhibitions, and educational programs, the National September 11 Memorial & Museum remembers and honors the 2,983 people killed in the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001, and February 26, 1993, as well as those who risked their lives to save others and all who demonstrated extraordinary compassion in the aftermath of the attacks.

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum currently offers tailored programming for law enforcement, intelligence, military, and first responder agencies. Building on this work, we have begun expanding these mission-based programs into the private sector. The Assistant Manager of Professional Programs will support and help manage this expansion, bringing their training and industry expertise to ensure these programs resonate with participants and scale as intended. The Assistant Manager will work with the Director of Public and Professional Programs to develop programs, formulate plans for growth, conduct extensive outreach, and continually evaluate our efficacy.

The Assistant Manager will report to the Director of Public and Professional Programs and may require the flexibility to work early mornings and occasional weekends. The institution currently has a hybrid model of working both onsite and remotely, but these policies may evolve in the coming year. Program needs will largely inform these decisions for this position. This role is a grant-funded termed position through December 31, 2027. We hope to extend this term with future funding.
