Vocational Rehabilitation Case Manager

ACE Programs is in search of a dedicated Case Manager / Educator to join our team, focusing on our vocational rehabilitation initiatives.

The selected individual will oversee a caseload of participants, guiding them through tailored adult education courses that emphasize essential workplace and life skills, alongside soft-skills training. Additionally, this role involves coordinating technical skills training and managing internship opportunities.

The ideal candidate will exhibit a passion for teaching adult learners, with or without prior experience in this area. A successful applicant will have a background in classroom management, curriculum development, and a strong commitment to fostering the success of participants.

This position reports directly to the Program Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Educational Delivery & Curriculum Design

  • Conduct contextualized math instruction for diverse adult learners, focusing on practical skills for the workplace and daily life.
  • Create lesson plans and engaging activities for math classes.
  • Facilitate soft-skills training aimed at enhancing workplace readiness.
  • Organize special programs and community field trips to help participants practice interpersonal and job search skills.
  • Administer standardized assessments to monitor participant progress.
  • Provide basic computer training in a lab setting.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant attendance and educational advancement.

Case Management Duties

  • Support participants in achieving their vocational goals through individualized coaching, referrals, and progress tracking.
  • Participate in regular case conferences to discuss participant developments.
  • Employ trauma-informed approaches and innovative problem-solving techniques to assist participants in their journey.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver technical skills training for program participants.
  • Manage internship placements and liaise with host organizations.
  • Utilize tracking software to monitor participant learning outcomes.
  • Represent ACE Programs at partner sites as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Program Director.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in case management or teaching.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and online research.
  • Experience working with individuals overcoming challenges related to incarceration and substance use.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting formerly homeless individuals in achieving self-sufficiency and pursuing long-term career goals.
