We are looking for a strategic, analytical, and problem-solving Director of Growth Marketing to become an integral part of our team. This role requires a business leader with a can-do, test-and-learn, entrepreneurial and innovative mindset. You will own, direct, and oversee the execution of Sabai’s direct-to-consumer channel and be responsible for driving DTC sales growth, increasing marketing efficiencies, and enhancing customer engagement and loyalty. This hands-on role will work directly on all aspects of the DTC business, including customer acquisition, retention, and cross-channel marketing analytics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving growth through data-driven marketing strategies, managing and optimizing campaigns, and scaling digital businesses. This is a hybrid role based in New York, NY, with up to 50% in-person time (flexible).


WHAT YOU’LL DO


Create, Manage & Execute Growth Strategy


  •  Growth Marketing Strategy: Develop and be responsible for Sabai’s growth marketing strategy. Own the eCommerce P&L, create projections, optimizing for both top-line and bottom-line goals and overseeing budget & expenses. Own KPIs focused on new customer acquisition, retention, and marketing efficiency.
  •  Team Leadership & Management
  • Work closely with the CEO and Finance team as the point person for our DTC business. Provide projections, reporting on performance on a weekly and monthly basis, as well as recommendations on how to achieve company goals.
  • Manage all parties and partners to ensure the effective execution of Sabai’s growth marketing strategy.
  • Parties reporting to you will include: Brand marketing manager, content manager, and customer experience manager.
  • Paid Advertising: Own the planning and execution of paid digital strategies across channels including, but not limited to paid social and paid search. This may include deploying dollars yourself, or working closely with an agency to do so.
  • Website - Oversee the optimization of the site experience and web analytics - A/B testing, landing page optimization, and conversion rate optimization.
  • Email - Oversee the optimization of Sabai’s email marketing program - signups, customer education, conversion, loyalty, and retention.
  • Retention - Grow customer loyalty and retention through email, sms and other channel opportunities.
  • Influencer and Partnership Marketing: Manage team member & agency responsible for Sabai’s influencer/ambassador program to drive awareness & equity, as well as content for paid strategies.
  • Agency Management - Oversee agencies responsible for day to day execution of growth marketing strategies, such as paid, email, PR and affiliate.
  • Data Analytics: Utilize data analytics tools and platforms to continuously track campaign performance, generate insights, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Testing and Experimentation: Implement A/B testing and experimentation across all channels. Analyze test results to identify winning strategies and apply insights to improve overall channel performance.
  • Content: Spearhead continuous feedback loop with Sabai’s content team to ensure all partners are aligned and iterating to produce assets that support the company’s goals.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Customer Experience: Manage Sabai’s customer experience team, driving strategies that support customer conversion.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Operations: Work closely with the Operations team to align on objectives and strategies for customer service, website functionality and fulfillment
  • Product: Work closely with the Product team to align on product fit for audience, timelines, and positioning for produce release and go-to-market strategy.
  • Brand: Work closely with the CEO to ensure that digital strategies are brand-aligned and support the company’s overall objectives.


WHO YOU ARE

  • 5+ years experience in DTC or e-commerce, 2+ years of experience in a managerial capacity.
  • You are passionate about Sabai’s mission, vision, and values.
  • You are a team player and proven leader that has built and managed cohesive, high-performing teams.
  • You are analytical and strategic, with experience successfully and efficiently growing a DTC brand and executing on creative strategies.
  • You have a strong handle and deep understanding of growth marketing mechanics - acquisition, retention, data analytics. You are well versed in paid advertising, SEO, SEM, A/B testing, landing page optimization, conversion rate optimization, and web analytics (GA).
  • You are a data-driven decision-maker and are action oriented. You enjoy testing theories and continually iterating on learnings.
  • You are a strong communicator, with a proactive, collaborative and motivational approach.
  • You are a positive team member and enjoy working closely with a small team in a high velocity, lean environment.
  • You are collaborative and kind, and excited to contribute to a joyful and passionate work environment.
