Regional Sales Manager

Establish new accounts and services by identifying potential customers via lead follow up, cold calling and networking within a territory defined as the Central Midwest Region.
Manage and service existing clients within the territory.
Meet established yearly and quarterly sales goals.
Planning and organizing sales call schedules on a weekly basis within the territory.
Work with manufacturing engineers, managers and purchasing staff to qualify and solve laser applications.
Provide onsite technical equipment demonstrations and oral presentations at prospect locations.
Identify the “best fit” product configurations for prospects and work with sales support staff to provide equipment proposals.
Conduct in person, phone and email follow up with clients and prospects.
Utilize CRM software, email, MS office programs and CAD software for laser systems.
Prepare sales forecast, lead follow up and other reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending sales training and team meetings in our Ohio headquarters.
Attend and work at industry trade shows within the territory.
Assist partner or distributor companies within the territory.
Ability to work within a team environment.
Requires 3 days of travel per week within the territory.
Report directly to the National Sales Manager.
Skills and Qualifications:
3-5+ years’ experience in manufacturing sales preferred but not required.
Experience and familiarity with laser or optical products preferred, not required.
Ability to use CAD software and MS Office applications required.
Technical competency and understanding of technical products are a must
