At Goodr, Inc., we are looking for an inspiring and energetic Vice President of Operations to lead our team and drive operational excellence. This key role requires a visionary leader who can bring fresh ideas to the table, implement top-notch operational strategies, and create a people-first environment where innovation thrives.


As the VP of Operations, you’ll be the heartbeat of our internal and external operations, ensuring that everything runs smoothly from top to bottom. You’ll manage policies, resources, and systems, all while keeping our mission at the forefront. If you’re ready to make a difference, we want you on our team

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·      Partner with the CEO to craft and execute a bold strategic vision that boosts profitability and elevates our service quality.

·      Take charge of daily operations, leading our talented team across departments like Operations, Logistics, and the Fulfillment Center. There will be a dotted line reporting relationship with Product, Sustainability and Accounting.

·      Identify staffing and resource needs, source top-tier goods and services, and keep departments on track with clear schedules and tasks.

·      Design and roll out innovative business strategies and procedures that align with our ambitious goals.

·      Champion clear and open communication, fostering strong collaboration across all departments.

·      Develop and implement smart risk management strategies to keep us compliant and ahead of the curve.

·      Create and maintain detailed monthly reports and dashboards to provide transparency and clear insights into our operations across all departments.

·      Set ambitious performance and growth goals and lead the charge to achieve them.

·      Establish policies that embody Goodr’s vibrant culture and mission-driven vision.

·      Inspire, motivate, and lead a high-performing team, attracting and retaining top talent.

·      Use data-driven insights to evaluate performance and guide decision-making.

·      Assist in securing additional capital to fuel our growth and market share objectives.

·      Create a success-oriented, accountable culture where everyone thrives.

·      Represent Goodr with clients, investors, and business partners, showcasing our mission and impact.

 

Required Education and Experience:

 

·      Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field.

·      Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong background in logistics and event coordination.

·      Expertise in organizational development, personnel management, budgeting, and strategic planning.

·      Outstanding people skills and the ability to partner with a dynamic team.

·      Integrity, credibility, and a deep commitment to Goodr’s mission.

·      Flexibility to thrive in a fast-moving environment, with the ability to prioritize and guide investment in people and systems.

·      7-10 years of leadership experience in operations or a related field.

As a leader of change, you’ll steer our company through transitions smoothly, maintaining a customer-focused approach at all times.

 

Risk management is second nature to you, and you’ll apply ethical judgment and integrity in all decision-making processes. Your leadership style is people-centric, focused on developing talent and optimizing processes for maximum efficiency. With a deep understanding of the food industry, you’ll guide procurement efforts with expertise, adapting and flexing as needed to meet challenges head-on. Collaboration and team-building are at the heart of your approach, fostering a culture of cooperation and shared success at Goodr.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

·      Proven experience with warehouses, logistics and event coordination

·      Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff

·      Good critical thinking skills

·      Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

·      Experience communicating and coordinating with cross-functional teams

·      Detail and process oriented

·      Possess strong verbal and written communication skills

·      Ability to work in fast paced environments

·      Proven success in leading organizational change

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

·      Previous experience in a startup environment 

·      Experience in a mission-driven organization

·      Genuine love for solving world hunger and saving the planet

·      A knack for tackling complex operational challenges

·      Strong procurement experience

·      Certifications: PMP, Six Sigma, Lean, CPIM, CSCP, CPSM (strongly preferred)

·      MBA (strongly preferred)

·      In-depth understanding of the food industry (strongly preferred)
