In this role, the Accounts Receivable Manager will be essential to the finance function, leading a small team and maintaining the company’s contract-to-cash billing system. Responsibilities include overseeing the accounts receivable and collections process, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition per ASC 606 standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline revenue accounting procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Accounts Receivable and Collections team
  • Administer and manage Contract to Cash (HCP's subscription management system) to ensure accurate and timely collections and reporting of revenue and AR KPIs
  • Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 standards
  • Oversee the commission accounting processes and ensure compliance with internal policies and GAAP requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Legal, FP&A, and Rev Ops teams, to streamline revenue accounting procedures
  • Oversee collections efforts to maintain DSOs (Days Sales Outstanding) within company standards
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls over the revenue accounting process
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports related to revenue


Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in revenue accounting in a SaaS environment
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred
  • Familiarity with sales tax applicable to the software industry
  • Experience leading a revenue accounting function in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 and its application in revenue accounting
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Experience with Zuora and Salesforce strongly preferred
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
