Marketing & Sales Team Lead

DESCRIPTION
The Marketing & Sales Team Lead will oversee overall company marketing efforts and manage direct purchasing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals at our retail scale operations. This role requires strong leadership, marketing, negotiating, communication and analytical skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITILIES
- Responsible for driving volume and profitability growth through our retail scale operations.
- Manage the purchasing process for ferrous and non-ferrous metals, both directly at Grand Rapids location and team lead of scale buyers in two other locations.
- Hilo/equipment operation to unload and measure customer sales.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase overall Beacon brand awareness.
- Create and manage digital content, including videos, articles, and interactive posts.
- Produce marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and digital content.
- Conduct market research and identify opportunities to increase leads and partnerships.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, or Business, or a related field
- Experience in social media and content creation is required
- Leadership experience
Skills and Knowledge:
- Marketing and Social media
- Sales/Customer service
- Negotiation
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to learn quickly, work both independently and as part of a team, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with ferrous and non-ferrous metals and classification is a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS
This role involves both indoor and outdoor work, requiring the ability to work in various weather conditions. Candidates must be physically capable of performing tasks such as standing, lifting, or bending for extended periods, as well as regularly lifting and moving metal materials with safe handling practices and physical endurance.
