With a longstanding 28 years in operation, this company has helped over 18 million people manage their financial well-being and provided over $26 billion in consumer loans. Their products range from credit cards, retail credit, healthcare financing, and automotive financing.


The Company's legal team is looking for a driven attorney who is well-versed in the banking regulatory space. This attorney will navigate new proposed laws to assist the business and help support the launch of additional products.


Responsibilities:


  • Stay informed about banking regulations, laws, and industry standards
  • Draft and review related legal agreements on existing and new financial products
  • Advise internal stakeholders on relevant legal matters relating to the company's financial products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, technology, marketing) to support the launch of new financial products
  • Collaborate with outside counsel on litigation matters when necessary
  • Conduct due diligence on potential M&A activity


Qualifications:


  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • 3-7 years of relevant legal experience
  • Admitted to a state bar in good standing
  • In-depth understanding of banking regulations and compliance
  • Strong Drafting Skills for Contracts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


*This is a hybrid position in the North Atlanta area
