Full-Time, Part-Time, & Per Diem positions available in various locations across the agency.

Job Summary: In accordance with the organization's mission, vision and values, the RN's are responsible for supporting various support team members with the general medical administrative & programmatic oversight of all clients as it relates to medical compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current NYS RN. Valid NYS Drivers' License. Behavioral health background preferred. Job Requirements: Duties:
  1. Assures that all clients' medical files are in compliance with Agency and regulatory polices, practices and procedures, by reviewing all recovery care plans and ensures that documentation is complete.
  2. Onsite daily and provides direct supervision and assistance to LPN's and program staff where there are medical concerns; including on call support where necessary.
  3. Responds appropriately to crisis and emergency situations in order to ensure/secure the health and safety of the clients. Adheres to regulatory guidelines and follows-up by appropriate communication and documentation.
  4. Participate in general, staff, in-service and supervisory meetings held by the Agency.
  5. Participate in Agency/Program continuous improvement/department enhancements related to medical/nursing.
  6. Provides programmatic oversight of the development and implementation of clients' objectives as it relates to medication management and/or medical issues. Provides instruction and/or education to clients as it pertains to medication management and/or medical issues. Ensure documentation of clients' progress is complete, accurate and timely.
  7. Leads and participates in Tuberculin testing clinic for the Agency on an annual basis, coordinated by the HR Coordinator.
  8. Coordinate and document medical program compliance in accordance with Agency and OASAS policies, procedures, and regulations.
  9. Monitors medication administration records.
  10. Assures that all clients' required record documentation is accurate, timely, and in compliance with Agency and regulatory policies, practices, and procedures.
  11. Assists with program applicant referrals, admissions, and discharges in a professional and proficient manner.
  12. Obtains and maintains knowledge of community resources to coordinate or refer clients to a full range of medical services.
  13. Conducts other related Agency training as directed and within area of expertise.
  14. Perform other duties and functions as directed.
