Through its Center for Community Development (CCD), American Express National Bank's overarching goal is to maintain a leadership position in financing, investing, and facilitating community development activities within our Salt Lake City MSA assessment area and beyond.

CCD is hiring a CRA Loan and Investment Manager. The manager role provides a unique and dynamic opportunity within the organization supporting our Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) community development work and supports many facets of our CRA efforts with a primary focus on CRA loans and investments. The role entails identifying, underwriting and leading CRA loan and investment transactions in addition supporting CRA related compliance.

The CRA Loan and Investment Manager role provides a tremendous opportunity to deliver business success as well as supporting the communities in which we live and work. The CRA Manager will report to the Community Development Director and the position is based in Sandy, Utah.

How will you make an impact in this role?

Identify and underwrite CRA qualified loans and investment opportunitiesCommunicate complex ideas clearly and succinctly for senior audiencesCoordinate deal closing with internal partners, including managing legal review, risk review, committee presentation, and contract executionBuild relationships with internal business partners, non-profit organizations, governmental agencies and other entitiesSupport regulatory activities and banking compliance requirements What you'll bring: Strong sense of intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn the nuances of CRA qualified productsExcellent verbal communication and presentation skillsAbility to build and leverage relationships across multiple teamsLeadership – act & lead with courage, make decisions quickly & influence changePreferred QualificationsPrevious CRA related experienceExperience with New Market Tax Credits (NMTC), Equity Equivalent Investments (EQ2), Community Development Finance Institutions (CDFI), Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), CRA qualified investments funds, and/or Community Development LoansCommercial underwriting experience with the ability to analyze, evaluate and execute complex Community Reinvestment Act related investments Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
