Job DescriptionJob Description

The Human Resources Coordinator provides human resources support with onboarding/offboarding, HRIS data entry, general HR tasks, and recruiting administrative tasks. The HR Coordinator will assist new hires with basic benefits questions.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary point of contact for HR general administrative needs.
  • Manage onboarding activities, such as new hire and benefits orientations.
  • Work closely with Entity Team(s) to provide a successful onboarding experience to new hires.
  • Maintain accurate records of new hires and send internal announcements.
  • Assist with administrative recruiting tasks, such as interview scheduling, candidate expense reporting, follow up on completion of hiring compliance forms, etc.
  • Maintain accurate headcount tracking reports for the designated entity(ies).
  • Assist new hires with I-9 verification and complete data entry in to HR/Payroll vendor system
  • Maintain accurate and up to date I-9 documentation.
  • Monitor fixed-term employees to ensure that proper exit interviews are scheduled and final pay is processed according to State specific guidelines.
  • Assist with keeping job descriptions up to date
  • Listen, research and respond to employee questions; escalate as needed.
  • Assist with other HR administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be highly organized with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks/projects, according to deadlines, with minimal supervision.
  • High level of comfort, skill and experience with both oral and written communication.
  • Ability to make presentations and actively participate in group meetings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and develop solutions.
  • Intermediate level experience with common office software, such as Google Suite of products and HR systems.
  • Flexible, willing to take on more responsibilities as needed, and devote time necessary to complete deadlines.
  • Familiarity with the different types of work visa for I-9 verification process is desirable.

Education & Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, human resources and/or related fields or an associate's degree with minimum 2 years of human resources experience.
  • Experience with onboarding new hires is preferred
  • Experience working with applicant tracking software is highly desired
  • Experience with general human resources administrative tasks required, e.g. HR systems, on/off boarding, etc.
