Job Summary

The Pediatric Rehabilitation Program Coordinator serves as a liaison between clinical staff and family in the Pediatric Rehabilitation Pain Program at Stanford Children's Health | Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates schedules for all Prep patients and performs all functions required to ensure that patients have appropriate authorization for visits.
  • Provides administrative support for the department, including coordinating and organizing special events and meetings.
  • Serves as liaison between clinical staff and family, communicating needs for education, referrals, and resources to appropriate direct care providers.
  • Responds directly and promptly to patient inquiries, including explanations of exams and exam protocols.
  • Collects needed information from referring offices, physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, and schools.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of new programs, operating protocols, and communication initiatives related to the Pain Program.
  • Greets, orients, directs, and assists patients, visitors, and guests.
  • Prepares agenda for meetings; manages department database updates and creates monthly reports specific to departmental/unit operations and activities.
  • Creates and maintains databases, reports, queries, charts, etc. based on department projects or activities/objectives.
  • Processes supply and equipment transactions, including purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Maintains clinical/office supply levels and completes supply orders as needed.
  • Assists with special projects as needed.
  • May assist in budget reconciliation for routine administrative expenses.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple meetings and resources (people, equipment, locations).
