The Behavior Technician Position (referred to as "Therapeutic Instructor" at FirstSteps for Kids)There is nothing more rewarding than knowing you are making a difference in the life of a child.
As a FirstSteps Behavior Technician you will have the great privilege of helping our little ones say their first words and sentences, develop their first friendships, be successful in their first classrooms, and ultimately first realize a love of learning.
As a Behavior Technician:
You will teach our young clients diagnosed with autism meaningful skills including communication, socialization, self-care, and school readinessYou will become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with all initial credentialing fees paid by FirstStepsYou will work closely with and learn from teachers, parents, FirstSteps BCBAs, and behavioral health/ mental health specialistsYou will make an enormous difference in the lives of so many children and familiesFirstSteps on Diversity & Equity:We believe that we have a responsibility and an opportunity to contribute to a kinder and more compassionate world by living our values of diversity and equity in all our daily operations.

Behavior Technician Wage InfoOur new team members receive between $20 and $23 per hour on average and are eligible for multiple wage increases throughout the year (with a wage ceiling of $27.50).
