Position: Community Schools Coordinator

  • Responsible for integrating resources to create supportive learning environments
  • Supports a holistic approach focusing on academics, health, social services, youth development, and community engagement
  • Collaborates with staff, families, and organizations to foster student success
  • Implements systems, procedures, and policies, monitors projects, and supports budget management
  • Role is 90% at school sites and 10% at the Network Office

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts needs assessments and identifies barriers to learning
  • Engages partners to offer programs based on community needs
  • Develops services for students, families, and community members
  • Facilitates communication between school and community
  • Advocates for students and families, coordinates service teams
  • Supports families and leads collaboration efforts, including workshops

Qualifications and Experience:

  • AA degree or 60 semester units required, BA degree preferred
  • Minimum two years of experience working with youth and families
  • Experience in managing schedules, facilities, staff, or program development
  • Current CPR and 1st Aid Certificate required, criminal clearance and TB Test mandatory

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability in working with youth, parents, and community leaders
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Ability to collect and analyze data, monitor program trends
